1954 Elgin Freemont

The Fremont uses the 681, 19 jewel movement.  The case, 5733 is 10k gold filled.

When it arrived, the dial has years of accumulated crud on it.  I used lemon juice to remove most of it.  While not perfect, it is much better than it was.  I sealed it with a coat of clear coat.

The movement had winding and setting issues.  I swapped gears from a parts 680 movement and got it working.

Additionally, I installed a new glass crystal.

While not a perfect specimen, the decorated flared lugs made it a keeper in my book.
