1942 4610A Lord Elgin

This model seems to be a variant of the 1942 4610A model.  It has a 14K gold filled case and uses 21  jewel 559 movement.

The watch is in wonderful shape considering it was sold in 1942. All it needed was a new crystal, which Veritas123 from Vintage Watch Forums had on hand.  Ranfft says the 559 has a 52 hour power reserve.  I’ll have to test that.

Of course, the lugs are what attracted me to the watch.  To show them off, I mated it with a new alligator pattern Hadley Roma band.
