Orient Sapphire Sky

The Orient Sky is a lower end automatic that comes with a domed Sapphire Crystal.   It is a very classic looking watch with the date at 6 o’clock and the day display at three o’clock.  Additionally, there is exhibition caseback, but the movement is not decorated.

While I look the look of the dial, it is diminished by the lack of anti-reflective coating.  As I noted in my review of my Hamilton Navy Khaki diver, a Sapphire Crystal without anti-reflective coating reflects too much of your surroundings and makes the dial difficult to read.  Unfortunately, that is the case with this Orient.
