Lord Elgin Horizon Look Crusader

I already have a Crusader in the collection, but I found it came with two different chapter rings, with this having hashes rather than numerals. The Lord Elgin Crusader uses the case number 9807 and is 10K gold filled.

The watch is powered by the 23 jewel, 654 automatic movement. This is an Elgin branded Swiss movement made by the A. Schild company, which would later in the early 1970s fold into the ETA group.

The Crusader is part of Elgin’s Horizon Look Line, charactered by a crystal to covers the case, bezel edge to bezel edge. This particular watch has an inscription from 1959, which is the time period the watches were available.
