Elgin Wheaton

Elgin Wheaton

I’ve added the Elgin Wheaton to my collection. It is from 1953 or so and is part of the Swiss movement line of watches introduced by Elgin in the same year.

The Wheaton is 14k gold and has 18k applied markers and hands. Its case number is 6902.

The movement is the 17 jewel, 644 automatic.

The Wheaton, design wise, is accented with bowtie lugs and a faceted crystal the carries the crease in the lugs from end to end.
