Mid 1950s Elgin Self-Winding Watch, “Lancer”, Case 6822

Today’s package included this really nice mid 1950s Elgin Self-Winding watch, case 6822.  The case is 10k gold filled, number 6822.

The dial is black, with a checkerboard pattern.  It looks like new.

The watch uses the 17, Swiss designed 645 automatic movement.

Overall, this is an immaculate square cased Swiss based Elgin that looks more expensive than its product place in the 1950s.

Diveboy informs me the name is the Lancer.

Here’s the Lancer featured as part of the Elgin hour, as part of the Town and Country line.
