Elgin De Luxe Case 5709

I’m really excited to have won this watch.  Over all, it is in excellent condition. One reason I love this watch is the rose gold case and dial.  While I’ve seen other Elgins with this combo, I think it is still relatively rare.

The case is 10K rose gold filled.  The crown must be original, as it is rose gold as well.

The dial is really sharp and looks almost NOS.  It features a rose gold base offset by silver toned hands and hour markers.  If you look closely, the numerals have a machined finish.

The movement is the 17 jewel , 555.  The serial number on the watch puts it at 1945 or so.

Finally, there is the bracelet.  I doubt that it is original, but boy does it compliment the watch.  It is made by Kestenmade, and is 12k plated in rose gold, to match the watch.
