1957 White and Yellow Gold Lord Elgin Dunbars

I picked up two versions of the 1957 Lord Elgin Dunbar, one in white gold fill, the other yellow gold.

Interestingly enough, despite what the ad says, the white gold filled case is 10K, while the yellow gold case is 14k. Also, the yellow gold case version was a night glow model, with lume dots on the hours.  The white gold watch has no lume.

Both watches use the 23 jewel, 730 movement. Both also have the same case number, 7614.

The yellow gold watch came with a very dirty dial.  It cleaned up nicely, but I took off some of the lacquer, but it isn’t that noticeable under the crystal.

The white gold watch dial, which is black, has some cracking the lacquer, but once again, it looks fine under the crystal.
