Deep Blue Fleet Admiral Automatic
Deep Blue Fleet Admiral Automatic Watch fills a niche in my collection that called for an automatic that displayed the month, day, and date.
The watch itself is big, but neither heavy or too tall. I choose the gold tone case with the silver dial, which to my eye, seemed the most elegant of the various choices offered. Of course that is a matter of taste and I know a lot of watch collectors don’t like gold plated watches. The case it comes in is plastic and compared to the padded boxes that my Orient Watches arrived in, it seems rather cheap.
Luckily, the watch seems well made. The day, date, and month dials are easily read at arm’s length and the leather band is supple.
From what I understand, Deep Blue watches are designed in the U.S., machined in Hong Kong, and in this case, it uses the Japanese made Miyota movement.
