10K Gold Lord Elgin with 760 Movement (Thin Thin D)

This time I bought a 10K gold Lord Elgin with the 30 jewel American made 760 automatic movement.

The dial has a unique woven/cloth appearance and is accented by gold hands and gold faceted hour markers.

The watch was in good shape when I received it and only needed to have years of dirt that had built up in the corners removed.  Additionally, the plastic crystal took a little elbow grease with Polywatch, and to the eye (not the camera) it looks pretty smooth.  Even the crown is original and has the Elgin name stamped on it.

The watch came with a 10K capped Speidel calendar band.  The calendar bracelet has a small compartment with a paper, scrollable calendar contained.  The one in this band was for 1970.

I have a dark brown Ostrich band coming for this watch, but I’m sure the calendar bracelet will find a home on another vintage watch since it is in such good condition.  I wonder if Speidel still makes these little calendars.

Also, I can across an ad for this model.  It is the Thin Thin D, $100 when new.
