Custom Schlitz Lord Elgin Clubman with 680 Movement

I’m not really sure of the exact name of this model, especially since it has a custom Schlitz beer dial, but it does have the Clubman case.

When I received it, most of the black enamel pant was mostly missing, so I found a small brush and filled in the rectangles.  Additionally, I cleaned up the dial a bit and cleaned and buffed the crystal.

At some point, I’ll replace the brown band with an appropriate black leather band.

The reason I bought this watch was the dial.  Most Clubman watches have the waffle dial, and for the most part, they always seem to be in poor shape.

This custom model has a pearlescent, sunray dial, with a horizontal gold line running through it.  Additionally, the second hand dial has gold markers every five seconds.

And just for the record, in my college days, I was a fan of Schlitz dark beer–which I can no longer find.

The case back looks very good, as well as the bezel, both of with are 14k gold filled.

The movement is Elgin’s 680 manual movement which has 21 jewels.  The case measure 30mm across and it has 16mm lugs.
