This Orient Star will make my third Orient Watch, each of which provides great value at a great price.

Overall, I’d have to rate this as my tied with my Accutron Gemini as one of my favorite automatic watches.

Of the many positive aspects of this watch is its dial.  Upon close inspection, one finds a lot of understated detail on the slightly cream dial.  The subdials consist of a power reserve indicator, a date display, and a retrograde day dial.

The bezel is a combination of polished and brush stainless steel.  The band is comfortable and utilizes a dual button release clasp.

The back of the watch features a mineral crystal window which exposes a slightly decorated counterweight.

One final touch that makes this a great watch?  Lume.  This watch shines brightly at the slightest hint of darkness and lasts for hours.  Other watches truly make me miss the radium that was used when I was a kid.
