The Tissot Le Locle is named for the hometown of Tissot Watches, Le Locle, Switzerland.<\/p>\n

Tissot is known for producing budget watches, and the Le Locle falls into that category, as Swiss watches go.<\/p>\n
For a low price, you get a very clean, guilloche dial and the fine ETA 2824-2 movement with a center seconds hand and the date at the 3 o’clock position.<\/p>\n
The sides of the case are brushed, while the bezel and lugs are polished.<\/p>\n
The leather strap seems on the cheaper side and the butterfly clasp is rather difficult to set up and use compared to the deployant clasps on my Oris and Frederique Constant.<\/p>\n
Despite the band, the dial belies the entry level price of this watch.<\/p>\n
The watch box itself deserves mention.\u00a0 It is well crafted and comes wrapped in a sleeve which depicts the history of Tissot.\u00a0 Inside, several compartments hold the manual, a traveling cloth, and a calendar.\u00a0 The bottom of the box holds not only a Tissot\u00a0catalogue , but a very nice paper back book chronicling the history of the company.\u00a0 If you are interested in horology at all, this is\u00a0 very nice gesture.<\/p>\n
Finally, the case back is decorated and engraved, with two small windows from with to see the movement.\u00a0 While I usually like to see the full movement, the case back is artful and adds to the elegance of the watch.<\/p>\n
